Peripheral Vascular Disease

Peripheral Vascular Disease

Peripheral-Vascular-Disease

Poor circulation to the feet is known as peripheral vascular disease, which may be the result of blocked or thickened arteries or a more systemic problem such as diabetes or cardiovascular disease. The skin and fat pad of the foot become thin and less elastic and more prone to injury and infection.

At Wanneroo Podiatry Surgery we deal with the prevention of any likely foot and lower leg problems by doing a thorough assessment of your feet, legs, biomechanics and footwear. Necessary treatment modalities are then implemented and advice on foot wear and care given.
